Mahindra surprises everyone with the name of its upcoming MPV called Mahindra Marazzo. Right now we are going to talk about the U321 name given to concept vehicle by Mahindra. Marazzo means shark in the Basque language that’s used in Spanish. The company says the upcoming MPV has bee given this name as it’s linked to the vehicle’s shark-inspired design. Mahindra has played with the spelling to make it bit more contemporary. In the premium MPV segment, there is a limited competition in India as well as in Asia. Toyota Innova will be a big competitor to Mahindra Marazzo. To compete with such a big name Mahindra will come up with a list of equipment which can match the standards.
Mahindra Marazzo Price In India
Till now Mahindra has not announced anything about the price of Mahindra Marazzo. As per expectation and market review, Marazzo will be priced between Rs 9 – 14 lakh. There will be an update on pricing and launch date. The MPV will launch near Diwali period i.e September 2018. The Mahindra Marazzo MPV will be the first of the three Mahindra upcoming cars. The increase in sales number during auspicious time will likely to benefit the new Mahindra Marazzo.
Mahindra Marazzo Design
Mahindra’s SUV drew inspiration from a cheetah whereas the TUV was inspired by a battle tank. Marazzo Mahindra says is inspired by a shark. You can spot interesting elements such the 2d grille and the fin-like detailing on the D pillar. The design is inspired from one of the most ferocious aquatic creatures. As per the manufacturer, The Mahindra Design Studio and Italian design house Pininfarina have worked jointly on the design and development processes of this MPV.
New Mahindra Marazzo will have front grille inserts resemble shark-like teeth. It makes the vehicle look more aggressive as compared to other Mahindra grille. The design cues further flow into the tail lamps that are inspired by the tail of a shark. On the other hand, the silhouette will add to the vehicle’s aggressive stance.
The picture of Mahindra Mazazzo is reviled. The premium MPV will be more comfortable from the inside and will have luxurious exterior style as well. The Marazzo will get projected headlamps with LED DRL’s.
Mahindra Marazzo Interiors
While Mahindra hasn’t given us a proper look at the interior of the Marazzo. The MPV will be available in seven and eight seaters. It will feature TFT display in the instrument cluster a 7” touchscreen infotainment system with apple and android car play, automatic climate control, and unique roof mounted surround cool AC vents. Marazzo will offer leather seat cover with height adjustment for driver seat. It is expected to get the push-button start as well.
The three-spoke steering wheel will include infotainment system control, phone pick and receive function and it might get cruise control as well.

Mahindra Marazzo Specs
Mahindra has remained tight-lipped about the engine options. Although it’s confirmed that the Marazzo will get only a diesel engine at launch. This is likely to be the 1.6-liter engine. The petrol engine will be considered as well by the team Mahindra. It is going to come in 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission.
The new engine is co-developed with Chines own company Ssangyong. This will be turbocharged united that will generate 140 bhp with a peak torque of 302 Nm.
Mahindra Marazzo Comparison & Compilation
Marazzo will directly compete with Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Tata Hexa and Toyota Innova. But Mahindra is planning to launch its new MPV at a price of 9 to 14 lakhs which will directly compete with Ertiga. Increase in price of Innova opened a space for Marazzo.
Ertiga is most affordable among Hexa and Innova. Bestseller Innova takes the maximum market share of MPV. Ertiga is still sold in car segment, but due to an increase in the price of Innova, Ertiga sales increase.

To conclude, Marazzo’s built quality and standards are better in Marazzo if compared to Xylo. Perfect MPV for Indian customer which will have more space inside and looks big from outside. It will be best suited for customer in 10 lakh price bracket, ride quality of Marazzo is similar to XUV 500 which is another best in class in the SUV segment by Mahindra.
