The modernization and globalisation both have greatly influenced the lifestyle of people. Majority section of society prefers to wear trending costumes. There are multifarious reasons for this which I will be discussing in prepending paragraphs and I believe that it has a detrimental impact on society.
To commence, the fascinating and captivating advertisement regarding the latest fashionable items like clothes, jewellery and other accessories tempt the customers. Most of them advertise events are performed by renowned personalities, celebrities and people, especially the young generation tries to initiate them by following this lifestyle, their dressing. In addition, people are becoming more attention seeker and wants to look attractive. They assume they will be accepted by society by their attractive looks branded attire and expensive lifestyle clothes.
This trend has a maleficent impact on society. Firstly, people are suffering more fashionable item that they use going away from their roots. It has severely affected the traditional culture of the nation. Furthermore, in order to pretend in front of people, they go beyond their financial limit to buy expensive clothes. They ran out of money that they cannot meet their basic needs, medical expenditure. A recent study by Oxford University on credit card reveals that 30 per cent of unpaid credit card bills are because the owners spend money on expensive accessories, spending lavishly on various products.
To conclude, I would say that it’s individual choice wearing attire, but at the same time, one should keep once financial condition in mind and their duties towards the society.
