Sandeep Singh was popularly known as Flicker Singh in media. Sandeep Singh is basically from Haryana and started playing Hockey in his childhood days. Bikramjeet Singh elder brother is also a field hockey player who takes Sandeep for practice. Still, he plays for Indian Oil. Sandeep achieved a lot as he becomes Man of the Tournament award in 2009 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup and in 2012 he becomes the leading goal scorer in the qualifying tournament in London Olympics. Sandeep started his international career in 2004 in Kuala Lumpur. He is known for drag-flicker because he got the best speed to hit drag flick at 145 km/h. Singh got injured in 2006 when he was hit accidentally by gunshot in the Shatabadi Express. It was a serious injury not only for Sandeep but for the country as well. He was on the way to join the national team for World Cup in Africa two days later. Singh was paralysed and on a wheelchair for almost 1 year of his sports career. He was only 20 at that time and Sandeep recovered from injury and took part in the 2010 World Cup.

The real name of Sandeep Singh wife is Harjinder Kaur. Sandeep Singh wife too was a Hockey player but stopped playing after marriage and now the mother of a boy named Sehaj as she has to be a homemaker. Since the two had family roots from the same village in Pakistan (Independent Hindustan, India before 1947) and loved the same profession, the relationship smoothly changed into marriage. Both would practice in the same academy.
In the film Soorma – The character of Harpreet could have been loosely based on Harjinder to hide her identity or probably work of fiction or probably he had a girlfriend before. Both were from Shahabad Markanda though of Yamuna Nagar district.
Sandeep Singh wife doesn’t interact with media much as she focuses on Sandeep. In addition, she sacrifice her career so that Sandeep can play for India.
