Karan Johar confirms Vikram Batra Biopic. On Thursday, he confirmed that he is producing a biopic on Kargil war hero Vikram Batra, whose role will be played by actor Sidharth Malhotra. Sidharth finds the story very inspirational. He said in a statement that “Vikram Batra’s life story will inspire you and bring a smile on your face. I am really excited to play the character and the shoot commences this year.” He also said that “He is nervous about playing the Kargil martyr on the big screen.” Kargil hero Vikram Batra was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra – India’s highest war-time gallantry award.
