The new Ford Territory is based on Yusheng 330 which is already in the market for a long time. New SUV is going to compete with Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. The Indian version may get only diesel variant. It will be powered with 1.5-litre TDCi 4-cylinder engine. This engine will produce 99 bhp at 3750 rpm and generates a maximum torque of 215 Nm at 3000 rpm. Its engine is mated with 5-speed manual gearbox and it may get an automatic transmission. It will get mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid version to enhance mileage.
