Environmental Problems IELTS Essay
All the world countries have accepted environmental problems as the biggest threat to humanity. Governments have started spending billions of dollars on protective and rehabilitative measures. The problem has grown at a startling pace that it is no more a regional or personal issue. One can undoubtedly say that efforts need to be taken at an international level to address the problems.
This is mainly because environmental problems are not confined to a single geographical area. To illustrate, the impact of pollution made by industries in a country will not remain confined within the country. Instead, it may even affect countries and populations on the other side of the globe. As the imbalance in ecology in any part of the globe has a universal effect, environmental issues should be addressed globally.
However, the influence of individuals over the environment should not be ignored. For example, a normal home is equipped with washing machines, cooking gas, mixers, grinders, lamps, fan, television, computer and even air conditioners. By careful operation of these types of equipment, every individual can do a lot in the protection of the environment. Driving vehicles can also be environment-friendly. For example, we have to avoid accelerating the engines too rapidly or using the air conditioner in the country, where one can have pure air simply by opening the windows.
To sum up, environmental problems should be handled at all levels; locally, nationally and internationally. Every single person should take care of the environment and we have to bring up our children as conscious citizens of a clean and healthy planet.
