There are many hobbies such as painting, stamp collecting, coin collecting, book reading, and gardening. Some persons like gardening and some like painting but, I like book reading. People adopt different hobbies according to their age and taste.
There are many hobbies but book reading is my favourite hobby. It gives me a lot of knowledge. I purchase all the books with my own pocket money. I like to read books. I read Urdu books, English books, and Islamic books. I spend my free time to book reading. It gives me a lot of information about Islamic culture and history.
I am not a bookworm. Also, I like playing cricket. It keeps me healthy, smart and active. It refreshes my mind also. I feel happy when I read books. All of my friends and teachers like my hobby. They give me the advice to read good books. I like my hobby very much and I feel proud of my hobby.

Hobbies enable us to spend our leisure hours. We need time to relax and recreate after day’s work. Different people can have different types of hobbies. Hobbies bring occupation in our idle hours. They keep us away from bad habits. They help us to forget our pains and loneliness of life.
These are many types of hobbies like – Motor-Driving, swimming, photography, cooking etc. But my hobby is gardening. Our house is very spacious, we have about 500 sq. meter of uncovered land at the back of our bungalow. There are 15 varieties of rose flowers in my garden. My garden is very dear to me. I spend two hours daily in my garden.
I love planting flowers, especially some vegetable of the particular season in my garden. Morning gardening really makes me feel so fresh and active. It brings me close to nature and I feel lost like Wordsworth in the beauty of blooms and blossoms around me. I developed the backyard of my house into the garden. Now it is a beautiful garden. It gives me pleasure as well as good exercise. I feel proud when my friends and guests praise my garden. I carry on gardening only in my spare time.
