Nissan announces the big SUV launch in India soon. The new SUV will be called Nissan Terra. The new 7-seater SUV made its debut in Thailand and will follow launch in Indonesia and Philippines. After the launch in these countries, it will make debut in India as well. The company will open it’s booking soon in India to compete with big rivals like Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Isuzu MU-X and Mahindra XUV700.
Nissan Terra Exterior
Terra was showcased in the Philippines and we’ll tell you how it looks like. From the front, you can see a bold and prominent face with Nissan’s signature vMotion grille. The grille is topped with the huge emblem in the centre. The projector type headlights feature a sharp design with L-shape daytime running lights. The front bumpers feature angular vents with chrome accents and fog light which comes standard.

Talking about the side profile now you’ll notice a clean and muscular design. The huge wheel arches and chiselled muscular crease going across the belt line providing an athletic and strong appeal. In addition, the large windows flow within the design and taper softer at the rear. In India, Nissan will offer 18-inch alloy wheels that have a turbine style design.
Look at the rear, there is a presence of width accompanied by horizontal taillights and a large chrome strip with Terra badging. The rear bumper will get sports back plastic cladding and a spot for what looks like a rear fog light.

Inside of Terra, you will find electrically adjusted seats. The leather material inside the SUV looks premium. The interior of Terra you will see touchscreen infotainment system with no physical buttons. The dashboard material is hard plastic which may not like for some people. It is a simple design interior with all features. It will get two analogue gauges together with a screen right in the middle. India will get all steering mounted controls.

In India, Nissan will offer 2.3-litre twin-turbocharged diesel engine which produces 190PS power and maximum torque of 450 Nm. This engine will be mated with 7-speed automatic transmission and 6-speed manual transmission. Both engine with get 2WD and 4WD.
