Playing A Game Is Fun Only When You Win Essay
Games have been a part of human life since time immemorial. Games are considered one of the most effective ways to eliminate stress, tension and to learn many skills. However, some people like to play only when they win. Personally, I agree with those people who play games in order to have fun.
To begin with, the desire to win a game arises due to lack of knowledge about the purpose of games. In old times, people gathered and played different games, which were mostly outdoor in nature. It was a great way to socialize, to communicate and to know more about each other. In my opinion, even nowadays, the purpose of games is the same and hence, winning is not the main concern.
Secondly, playing games is a perfect way to gain more knowledge and experience. It helps one to know more about one’s abilities, disabilities and the areas which require improvement. It is not important who wins but it is important that everyone makes conclusions and analyzes one’s mistakes and tries to avoid them.
Finally, mental and physical games help to develop brain and body. Mental games improve the ability to think logically, make conclusions and analyze. Also, they improve one’s memory. From the other side, physical games help to strengthen bones, develop muscles and improve health.
Admittedly, it is fun to win and feel the joy of victory. However, I think that participation in a game is more important than victory. The purpose of games should be to relax, to eliminate stress, to leave troubles behind and to gain more knowledge.
