The extinction of wild animals is one of the major concerns alarming the nations worldwide. The number of species has already exhibited a downward trend in the past decades. The number of animals among the existing species is also declining day by day. It is the need of today to preserve the wildlife.
With the excessive destruction of flora, it has become difficult for animals to exist in nature. The wildlife is struggling to live because of the destruction of natural habitats. This takes place as a result of human activities for logwood, overgrazing by animals and clearing the forests for agricultural land.
In fact, an interdependent relationship exists between the flora, fauna and the environment, which needs to be balanced. An imbalance can lead to serious consequences resulting in environmental hazards. Hence, it is necessary to recognize the need to save the wildlife in time. Otherwise, the impending danger will be of dire the consequences. All the animals and plants will be wiped out.
Furthermore, the government must take stringent steps to save the wildlife. They may include the breeding of the pre-existing ones in a controlled manner, banning hunting encouraging re-forestation, preserving the existing natural habitats and setting up wildlife sanctuaries.
