Children learn best by observing the behavior of adults and copying it
The process of growing up is very complex for children. Among countless factors that influence children’s growth, the behavior of adults plays a significant role in shaping children’s inclination and character. After the baby is born, the first and the nearest adults are its parents. So, the little baby starts learning from its parents by observing and copying the adults. This learning environment is important for the babies.
As children grow up, adults will influence them much more. They start noticing logical thinking, decision-making, cooperation etc. The behavior of adults can give children both good and bad influence. Most of their behaviors represent adults’ inclination. For instance, the children who are exposed to violence and crime will easily incline to violence and excessive sex later in life.
Behavior is a direct, convincing, and powerful method to teach children. Many times, it is observed that the children of drunkards will turn towards more serious drinking than their parents do. In such cases, repeated directions from the part of parents may be of little value. On the other hand, if the parents abstain from alcohol, it is more likely that their children will stop its use. Thus, it is evident that adults’ behavior is the most effective education method to let children know the whole process of dealing with various life situations. The children will learn from them naturally.
In total, children are like young trees; they need to be carefully irrigated, fertilized and trimmed. Parents’ behavior will be greatly helpful to shape them into useful adults.
