Education system is an important activity in society. It gives an opportunity to man to understand the world around him and to develop himself. It should develop a spirit of inquiry and rational thinking in the youth in today’s era. The Indian education system is one of the oldest education systems in the world. In India, it is the fundamental right of people aged between 6 and 14 to have compulsory education.
There are three stages in Indian education systems i.e Primary, Secondary and Higher Education. Almost everything is theoretical in nature and irrelevant to the socio-cultural and economic contexts. Exams, marks and grades cannot measure talent. Lack of infrastructure has led to the grave situation of Brain DrainLower teacher to student ratio. Government is investing less than 3 percent of the country’s GDP in education. Our eduction system focus on eduction, but sports, life science, technology, etc are equally important.
Steps should be taken to make technical and management education cost-effective. Accountability should be laid down on the teachers, schools and management in case of poor performance. We need to bring in the best brains in the teaching industry.
